From Dekalb PD On the evening of 03/28/07 Officer Hammer, with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit, had an unfortunate event take place when his home caught fire and burned. The home has been a complete loss and Officer Hammer and his family have lost all of their possessions. The Red Cross is assisting the family but they could always benefit from the help of his police family.
